Bare Earth Editing
In the raw LiDAR data, there will be returns from ground and non-ground points like water, small/ high vegetations, buildings and other noise points.
These returns need to be edited to get accurate ground surface.
SECON uses TerraSolid’s products like TerraScan and TerraModeler for the Bare Earth editing.
This processed data can be utilized for Floodplain Mapping, Corridor Mapping and Infrastructure Projects like Roads, Canals etc.

Building Classification
Building points in raw LiDAR data are distributed in ground-vegetation-building classes which is extracted separately.
Automatic building classification classifies up to 70% and the balance is done manually using TerraScan and TerraModeler software to achieve required accuracy (up to 95%).
The building classification facilitates calculating surface area that helps in taxation. It also helps in flood and other disaster management.

Feature Collection
Features like waterbodies, canopy surfaces, road break lines, spot elevations etc. will be captured using LiDAR surface, intensity images or ortho rectified Aerial photographs.

Contour Generation

Contours of required interval are generated from the classified bare earth surface. Based on project requirement, the features collected is used to generate more accurate contours as per standards like ASPRS etc.

The generated contours are used for Watershed Analysis, Floodplain Mapping and other Engineering purpose.

Asset Management

SECON has the capability to obtain Corridor details and Asset Inventorization using LiDAR Technology (eg. Power Transmission Lines, Gas Grid Network Planning etc.).

Geodatabase Creation

The LiDAR processed data like Mass Points, Features, Contours, Images etc. are integrated to a single geodatabase platform for further analysis.

SECON has necessary skills to develop further GIS applications to retrieve, modify and analyse the data.

3D Modelling

3D surface models for bare earth, building, water bodies etc. are created using classified LiDAR points and contours. This is used for Flood Modelling and Engineering purpose.
