Preliminary Design - Water and Sanitation Engineering |
- Identification of perennial water source and determining the quality of the same
- Planning of the trunk feeder mains alignment from the selected source to the treatment plant / distribution center
- Design of water supply system, storage as per requirement, pumping stations and other facilities along the water distribution system
- Estimating the quantum of water required, treatment / disinfection needs and design of the water treatment plant
- Hydrological study and field survey if required for estimation and design of the storm water drainage system
- Design of the underground sewerage and storm water drainage system including all appurtenants and components
- Establishing the requirements and processes of the Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP)
- Layout design and Design of all Civil, mechanical, electrical and electromechanical components of the pumping stations and STPs
- Plan for the use of the treated storm water and sewerage.

- Verification of the designs to suit the field conditions and collection of additional details, if necessary
- Finalisation of Design and specifications, preparation of drawings for
- Structures to the source of water
- Water mains and distribution system
- Pumping stations
- Water Treatment Plant

- Preparation of alignment sheets showing the planimetry and profiles along the water mains and other pipeline.
- Preparation of typical drawings for connection to the houses
- Preparation of detailed design report including, bill of quantities and cost estimates
- Finalisation of technical specifications and tender documents for undertaking the project on turnkey basis
- Project Implementation Schedule and prioritization of the various activities
